Very poor service

i just paid on 12 Sept 2022 for a new account It won't even recognize my password I had a previous account and i can't get my DNA results from few years ago your foreign phone people don't help at all ALL I WANT IS MY DNA RESULTS FROM FEW YEARS AGO or do I have to pay and submit a new one I WANT SOMEONE IN USA AN AMERICAN SPEAKING ENGLISH THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND NOT SOMEONE IN THE CARIBBEAN WHO CAN'T UNDERSTAND AND REPEATEDLY ASKS ME TO REPEAT MY NAME ZIP CODE AND EMAIL

Hidden Charges for Free Trial

Tried to cancel my trial within 14 days on-line and it woldn't go through. Called customer service which was closed. So I paid for the first month and cancelled at my first opportunity within the following month. Somewhere, buried several layers into the promotion is some fine print on cancellation fees. Essentially Ancestry has made it possible to turn a free trial into a $60 charge. Intentional fraudulent practice on their part and I will share that information with everyone interested in "trying" this service.

I never got my results but paid for the service.

Hasn’t. Except the company has my money and I have nothing in return.

When theyask how much money I lost I am not able to enter any amount. Will not accept it.

User's recommendation: Follow up. Not shy about sending the bill, but has been months and no results. Also hard to get in contact with.

Via this website have tried to contact Ancestry, still no response.. Tried also to email Ancestry but also to no avail. Have sent snail mail to the head office and await an answer

Terrible Customer Service

I wish I had never started with this org. I have tried and tried and today the 3rd time finally I'm done! If I ran my business like this one I'd be out of business. This organization can not get information right to save their life. "3" times I have contacted them about SIMPLY aligning 1. MY EMAIL 2. MY PAYMENT AND 3. MY TREE ALL ALLIGNED! Today I'm pulling the plug! Totally disgusted after 30 days and 3 tries!!!

To change over my sisters info to mine after she died

Finally got a hold of someone I went in and edited my sister's info after she died to take over the account. The guy helped take down my billing info and now I am good to go on the account. Thanks

UNABLE TO LOG ON. 3-4 DAYS NOW

I have been unable to logon for more than 3 days now. I can ping ancestry.com and the home page loads. Attempting to load login page I get an ascii display of the login page. All other ancestry.com pages fail to display, only the home page displays. Various down reporting sites localize this to the San Francisco Bay Area. I am beginning this is a purposeful action again customers in the Bay Area. It is hard to believe your IT support are this incompetent, or may they are.

Bogus Renewal and Additional Charges

I received two bogus charges AFTER 14-day trial period. I was charged twice. The first charge was for $32.99 for a subscription of THEIR choosing!!!! The second charge was $25.00 for I don't know what!! They just went in and STOLE another $25.00. Then they've set up their website so that they have you running around in circles trying speak to someone about your issues!!! I am a single parent of a special needs child!!!! I DON'T HAVE THE TIME OR MONEY for this crap! It's cruel and it's disgusting!!!

Refund inflexibility. Forced to pay for future unused time on site. Website unstable,difficult to use.

User's recommendation: Only thing good bout Ancestry is English records from 1800’s. Very inflexible on billing, website flaky often Not worth the money.
