I was going to order a dna kit from Ancestry .com simply to see if their scientific testing matched my knowledge. I started to fill out the basic info on their website and did some research before moving forward. Luckily I learned they, like many other sites, they...

Commercials show that they give you percentiles of possible ethnic matches... for example I'm Japanese American. I was expecting 85% Japanese, 5%Korean, 10% Eskimo... What I got was 100% South East Asian... What the...?!? Is this for real??? So I emailed a complaint...

Agree - they could have told me that my ethnic heritage was eastern European from my last name - nothing more than that for $100 - what a waste!

When Ancestry first started it was a good site but in the past couple of years it has gone down hill very quickly. Searches are a mess you can never find what you want without going through dozens of pages. Their hints are often duplicated and / or completely...

Ancestry Website Review

Very frustrating! Website often says having difficulty please try to reload. Ancestry DNA doesn't update often enough. I am beginning to think it's a huge waste of time and money.!

Ancestry Dna Blood Test Review

My husband and I did this together so was very angry when his results came in and I still had to wait weeks before mine did come. If you want to do this with a person for fun don't expect them to be together. But since doing the test I have met my father. Talked to an aunt and communicated with cousins and a sister. This has opened whole other side of family history for me.

Ancestry - Won't unsubscribe me!

Got unwanted emails, with no way to unsubscribe. I can't "log in" to my "account" because I don't have one. Have been on hold for an hour trying to get off of this creepy, data sucking privacy bombing organization. This sounds like a fun(!) way to fiind your family, but they know EVERYTHING about you. This is like the NSA, but you PAT them to use the information they gather. This group wants you to pay for them to gather data about you. I hate this intrusive company.

Try uploading your results to FamilyTreeDNA for $39 to compare. They are a good company.

Hello, Working on ancestry has been a pleasure. I started using it in high school for silly hobby projects, but got more seriously into it after I'd graduated and even managed to work out a family tree back to the mid 1700's with the program. I understand that many...
