My expired credit card
Wife was in an accident a couple of years ago that lead her to be disabled, caused financial problems so I contacted you guys to cancel my subscription. I just found out that ancestry was billing an expired credit card I have been paying off because I had to down size and budget.
The card I had on file I wanted to know if you could remove it from your files as well. Brian Jones email bjones4158@***.com

Family Tree Maker .. No Internet Connection ! ????
I WAS a casual user of Ancestry.Com's Family Tree Maker until recently when I tried to connect. I kept getting ERROR messages telling me MY Firewall was blocking the connection. I performed all the normal troubleshooting steps. I checked my Firewall ( NO PROBLEM ) just to make sure, I reset my Firewall. I reset it several times. I uninstalled FTM and reinstalled and tried to connect. " NO INTERNET CONNECTION " again ! Now as a retired Telecomm, Computer, Network, Hardware, Software Field Engineer, this issue can be Most Troubling. I checked my Server ( It was connected ) checked my other computers ( they were connected ) checked my Tablets ( they had connections ). So the trouble WAS NOT my connection, my Firewall, nor my Hardware. I called Ancestry Support to find out why my software wasn't finding a connection.
Do you think I could get a straight answer ? ...... NOT ON YOUR LIFE !!!
Not ONCE did Ancestry ever notify me that they had STOPPED all connections through the Family Tree Maker program.
One thing I have discovered over the past 40 years is YOU CANNOT TRUST THE MORMONS !!!! They are as crooked as they come and are some of the SNEAKIEST THIEVES out there.
They will smile and talk nicely to your face, meanwhile shoving the shiv in your back.
I'm through with Ancestry.com !!!!
Ancestry took over freepages rootsweb
Where is the rootsweb freepages websites now. Is it still online under a different name?
Why cant I get into it. 1000s of people made these websites in good faith to help others with tracing their family historys, it took some people many years to do them. Where are these websites now. What sort of scam is this.
Is it all about getting money off unsuspecting hard working people.
Rootsweb dosent exsist now " WHY" Anyone who is trying to find out whats going on is told THEY ARE NOT LOGGING ON, or that there is somethin WRONG WITH THE ROOTSWEB SITE. Almost every genealogy site has been taken over by you people not just rootsweb.

I am somewhat confused. You say they are charging an expired card and you just discovered this.
I assume you are saying that even tho your card is expired, the card issuer is allowing the charge(s) to go over to your new card. This happens. You need to contact the card issuer and find out why they would allow this to happen. You might also change your verification of each monthly statement to something like, say monthly?
That way, any bad charges will be found by you quickly. The card issuers send you a monthly statement for a reason.
To just pay without verifying all charges for that month are valid is sloppy and costly. But, find out why the card company is allowing what they did.
