AncestryDNA provided me with absolutely no information that I did not already know. I have not traced my family history, but I do know where my grandparents came from. According to my results, I am approximately 3/4 "European Jewish," which is considered to be a...

Ancestry - I think it's a scam

Ancestry

My neice who spend all her time on ancestry.com perform a test which indicated she was related to our family. The only problem is the fact that she was adopted from another country. Leads me to believe something is not right with this company and its dna test.

Mine came back English and Irish. Then it said 18% other regions. Maybe they will send me 18% of my money back. Won't hold my breath on that happening.

The price they charge you for research is not worth it anymore. I've been a member for years. And it was so much easier before they change the program. Now they make you look through 20,000 or 30,000 people before you can get to your personal person even when you have given all the information you have

I just got off the phone with Ancestry.com and while I ended up getting my situation resolved, this felt very dishonest on Ancestry's part. I bought a kit with Ancestry in November, 2016 that came with a two-week free trial, which I had used and thought I had...

My mother's mother was part Native American. How much part, I don't know, but she looked like an Indian and was ashamed of being part Indian, having been born and raised in Montana where the Indians were despised. Her mother's maiden name was Jacobs, a Jewish name. Yet...
